Abstract
The T. B. mass survey of 13,072 students of Seoul National University (12 colleges) was conducted from September to October 1957. 1) 91. 32 percent of the total number of students were X-rayed. 2) Among the x-rayed group, 4.84% showed positive chest findings and 2.40% showed suspected pulmonary tuberculosis. 3) Of 163 T. B. cases, 85.89% showed the minimal stage and 10. 43% moderate advanced lesions, according to the clinical classification method of N. T.A. 4) Of 163 cases of pulmonary TB., 6 (3.68%) cases were of cavitation and 5 (3.10%)cases of tuberculoma. 5) Pulmonary TB. was highly Prevalent in the 19-22 age- group with the 21 age-group of students being the highest. 6) On the analysis or 163 cases of pulmonary T. B ., 93 cases (60.12%) needed medical supervision, and 65 cases (3 9.83%) needed medical management.
