A study on mental healt problems in tuberculosis sanatorjum

Abstract
The mental health problems in the tuberculosis Sanatorium have been studied. 1. Neurotic tendency of pulmonary tuberculosis patients was evaluated by Eysenck’s Maudsley medical questionaire and following results were obtained, In male patients group mean score was 15.86 with standard deviation of 8.55 and in female patients group mean score was 17.78 with standard deviation of 7.23. 2. 85 patients who scored above 20 points by the medical questionaire were analized according to neurotic symptoms. Anxiety was cardinal symptom in both sex groups. 3. Mental health problems in the tuberculosis sanatorium are complex of realistic and Neurotic components. Theoretical principle of synthetic psychothuropy, named "Active Resignation" was proposed for foundation of sound belief in the sanatorium.
