신결핵의 임상적 관찰
A clinico-statistical observation was performed on 703 renal tuberculosis in the stand point of recent trend at the department of Urology of Busan National University Hospital during the past 20 years from 1958 to 1977 (former period: 1958-1967 and latter period: 1968-1977). The following results were obtained. 1. Over-all incidence of renal tuberculosis was 3.3 %, and in the latter period, decreasing tendency but no quantitatively was seen. Sex ratio of male to female was about 2 times in male. Age distribution noted the highest in cidence (37.9%) in the second decade during the former period but highest (41. 2%) in the third decade during the latter period. 2. As to the chief complaints, bladded irritating symtoms appeared in 2/3 cases and pyuria in 1/3 cases and the latter period showed the progressive increasing tendency in renal and general symptomes. 3. Microscopic proof of acid-fast bacilli on the stained smear of the urine was average 45.5% and progressive increase of positive raitio in the latter period, but no difference in the detection of proteinuria, pyuria and hematuria between both periods. 4. Cystoscopically, progressive increase in nonspecific inflammatory lesions while diffuse destructive change and contracted bladder decreased progressively during the latter period as compared to the former period. 5. Pyelographically, advanced cases including NVK occupied the most part of the patients while minimal or moderate changes became increased during the latter period. 6. Pelvic urine was dominant for the detection of AFB and proteinuria than the bladder urine and showed lower specific gravity. 7. In the treatment, I NA H-SM (KM)-PAS was used during the former period and I NAH-SM (KM) - Ethambutol & Rifampcin was used during the latter period, largely. Chemotherapy only group showed 91. 9% and operation+chemotherapy group 90.1 % in success.
