Abstract
In an attempt to establish the normal predicted standards of pulmonary function tests, spirometric studies of 270 healthy nonsmoking men and women were contributed, which measured FVC, FEV1, FEV1/FVC, FEF 200-1,200 and FEF 25-75% derived from the forced expiratory flow and volume tests. These five parameters of ventilatory function tests disclosed negative correlatiön with age and positive correlations with height. And it was most marked in significance when using multiple. correlations including age and height. We here designed normal prediction formulas through the regression equations for these ventilatory measurements which were constructed upon age and height. Male; FVC: 0. 0650H - 0. 0245A - 5. 4326 FEV 1: 0. 0517H-0. 029A-3. 6704 FEF/FVC: -0. 996H-0.1896A+ 109. 5078 FEF 25-75%: 0.0268H-0.0426A+ 1. 5612 FEF 200-1,200: 0. 0790H - 0. 0314A - 4.1950 Female; FVC: 0.0431H-0.0163A-2.8229 FEV 1: 0. 0323H - 0. 0201 A -1. 3939 FEF/FVC: -0.1075H -0. 1706A + 110. 7238 FEF 25-75 % : 0. 0132H -0. 0327 A+2. 7450 FEF 200-1,200: 0.0510H-0.0338A- 1. 5637
