Abstract
The evaluation of activity in pulmonary tuberculosis is important to start chemotherapy and confirm recurrence Ga scan have been used not only for neoplastic diseases but also for inflammatory disease. In 32 cases of active pUÎmonary tuberculosis, positive rate for Ga scan was 96.9%, but inactive cases showed negative scan. During the follow-up tests Ga scan turned to negative within 5 or 6 months. This study indicates that Ga scan is very useful for the evaluation of activity in pulmonary Tuberculosis After 6 months' chemotherapy, positive Ga scan suggests recurrence of tuberculosis.
