Abstract
Tension pneumothorax is a progressive disease in which a large volume of gas under atmosphere within the free pleural cavity displaces the mediastinal structures toward the opposite side and causes symptoms of respiratory and circulatory distress. So this disease requires emergency thoracotomy drainage This is a case report of tension pneumothorax transferred from local clinic in a 45 years-old male pneumoconiotic patient.
