CRITERlON FOR SAFETY OF PNEUMONECTOMY TO FAR-ADVANCED PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS

Abstract
1) Pneumonectomy was applied to 40 cases of F-A Pulmonary tuberculosis and attempts were given to count on the safety level of the operation. 2) 15 cases showed drop of vital signs following The operation and 6 cases of them showed shock State. 3) It was assumed that the drop of vital signs was related to the degree of post-operative bleeding in the thoracic cavity. 4) It was also assumed that the occurrence of empyema thoracic related to a wound infection. 5) It should be stated that during operation the only way 10 prevent the Post-operative bleeding was the performance of vigorous mechanical hemostat and the combined use of the coagulants which could be resulted in great reduction of critical Post-operative complication and increase of the safety of the Post -operative course .
