|
Abstract |
The first nationwide tuberculosis prevalence survey was conducted in Korea in 1965 by the Korean National Tuberculosis Association, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health & Social Affairs; and with the technical assistance of the WHO Regional Tuberculosis Advisory Team and the assistance of UNICEF in connection with supplies and equipment. The data obtained through this survey could be used not only for the development of the national tuberculosis control programme, but also as a baseline for the future planning and evaluation of the tuberculosis controls measures. |
