Abstract
A case of tuberculous meningitis where the cerebrospinal fluid contained 5,000mg protein per 100 ml, is reported. Such high amounts of protein is seldom found in this disease. The relationship between the protein content and other biochemical, bacteriological and Cytological findings in the cerebrospinal fluid from some cases of tuberculous meningitis, is discussed. No relationship between the protein content on the one side and the concentration of chloride and sugar or the number of leucocyte3 on the other side, could be detected.
