The Electrocardiogram In Patients With Mediastinal Shift

Abstract
1. Shift of the heart and the mediastinum to the left in pulmonary tuberculosis results in a vertical position of the heart, clockwise rotation of the heart on its longitudinal axis inversion of P and T wave3 in lead aVL, and diphasic P waves in leads Vl-3 in most cases. 2. Shift of the heart and the mediastinum to the right result in a semi vertical position of the heart, acquired dextrocardia pattern of precordial leads in most cases.
