Abstract
A 54-year-old male patient who had longstanding pulmonary tuberculosis complicated by aspergilloma was admitted to the Department of Internal Medicine, Severance Hospital with the chief complaints of massive hemoptysis and high fever. He had been treated with anti-tuberculous drugs under the diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis for the last 10 years. Complicated aspergilloma is one of serious diseases for which there is no specific medical treatment. Those patients should always face the threat of massive hemoptysis. Early diagnosis of the complicated aspergilloma should be achieved by careful review of the chest roentgenogram including tomogram in patient who has been suffering from chronic pulmonary disease such as pulmonary tuberculosis, bronchiectasis, sarcoidosis and even in pulmonary mycosis.
