The Author conducted the survey of the economic cap- abilities on the tuberculosis patients who was confirmed by the nation-wide TB Prevalence Survey, 1950. The result of the survey were obtained as following;
1. Regarding the economic capabilities of chemotherapy on TB patients, 37.8% of patients was to treat INH alone whereas 23.5% of the patients was impossible for the chemotherapy.
2. In urban and rural district, especially among impossible group of chemotherapy. it was 11.6% in rural while 29.5% in urban among secondary drug group of chemotherapy, Urban District (11.6%) was highly significant than rural(3.0%) in its proportion.
3. According to extent of diseases, INH alone group of chemotherapy was the highest in minimal TB (40.2%) and moderately advanced TB (38.3%), while combined was the highest (43.2%) in far advanced group.
4. Tuberculosis Patient who was registered at Health Center were (6.5%) of total patients. It was higher in urban (8.1%) than rural (5.7%)
5. 9.8% of total patients are under treatment, and among them 60% is irregular treatment. |
