Superior mediastinal enlargement after trauma.

Abstract

We experienced a case of sudden superior mediastinal hemorrhage, which might occur due to necrotic change of trachea by frequent and long standing tracheal irritation in ventilator-applied patients with adult respiratory distress syndrome.
