Abstract
An attempt was made to formulate criteria for drug resistence of secondline drugs by the absolute concentration method and the cumulative method which had been set out as cumulative distributions of the results with probably sensitive and probably resistant populations. The criteria of resistance applicable in this laboratory were obtained as follows. Any strain showing growth above 20 or more colonies in concentrations indicated below were classified as resistant to the corresponding drugs Capreomycin 50 μg /ml, Kanamycin 25 μg /ml, Prothionamide 56 μg /ml, Cycloserine 40 μg/ml, Ethambutol 2 μg/ml, Rifampicin 32 μg /ml.
